That time of year has come along again. I must say since my 30th birthday the years are flying by. I had another wonderful birthday. Alan and I spontaneously decided to drive up to Lake Tahoe. The weather was beautiful in the 70's. The mountains still had plenty of snow on them. We laid on the beach at Sand Harbor for hours. We completed our trip by driving around the lake.
Today my mom and I went to Safari West. This was my mom's pick for her birthday, my mom smiled the entire time. We had a lot of fun riding in our jeep checking out the animals. I did discover that I am not fond of ostriches. Those little boogers are feisty.
We once again had a wonderful ski season. We had the pleasure of great friends joining us. We try every year to go to a new resort and this year it was Homewood. This year I tried moguls for about a minute. I also continue to be challenged by black runs. We are so fortunate to have an "us" hobby. I look forward to many more years of keeping up with Alan.
Alan & I have a tradition of going somewhere for our birthdays. Alan's birthday is during winter season so we go ski/snowboarding. This year we went to Northstar and Homewood. Both days were a blast. We had not been to Homewood before, and loved the small business feel.
February 11, 2011.......life has changed for me forever. I can't believe how much a phone can offer. GPS, calendar, photos, ipod, camera, web, calculator, weather, games, recipes, dictionary, fandango, pandora, medical apps, news apps, and much more. My only concern is when Alan gets his IPhone............

Alan and I have had the opportunity to visit Hawaii for the third time. I know there are so many wonderful places to visit in the world, but I am content if I could continue to go to Hawaii every other year. This trip to Oahu was our longest-13 days. This trip was much more relaxing than our past trips. We laid on the beach more and only planned one excursion. We wanted to feel like we were actually on vacation and not come home needing a vacation. This trip Alan & I celebrated our first anniversary!! We also had the opportunity to celebrate mom and dad's anniversary while in Hawaii.
